UNITED@HOME
Every first week of the month UNITED meets in HOMES. Freshman/Juniors meet together at the home of Steve and Kathy Gibson (map). Sophomores/Seniors meet together at the home of Toran and Brenda Scott (map). For more information on UNITED@HOME, please contact the Student Ministries Office.
What is UNITED?
United is an evening of coming together and chasing after God. We spend time hanging out, grabbing some munchies, sharing stories, watching funny videos, playing games, listening to music, worshiping together, opening God's Word, and discussing our faith and life in small groups.
There are also many places to serve at UNITED - the media booth, the Cafe, the worship band, prayer, setup/cleanup, connecting/welcoming people, etc...just get involved!
At UNITED we believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us, that we might read it, learn from it, and follow it. We don’t want to just KNOW God’s Word, but let it change what we DO. That’s why we spend our time going through series that walk us through various books of the Bible. We are currently in our series called “The Vandalized Masterpiece” in Genesis. We are learning what the beginning is all about and how it matters to us today. Then in the spring we will be looking at the end…in our series “It’s The End of the World As We Know It” in Revelation. We will also spend time going through a short series in Psalms, looking at the different kinds of Psalms that are in the Bible and why they are such an important piece of the Scriptures. We will also be doing a short series called “Origins” where we will explore the history of the Christian faith – how we got the Bible, the church, etc.
